About our hospital, the role and our team

We are looking for a caring and motivated Consultant in Breast Radiology to join our multidisciplinary team on the beautiful Isle of Man, where we are aiming to become the best small Island based health and care system!

We are a dedicated Breast Unit situated in Noble’s hospital providing both a screening and a symptomatic service.

Within this role you will have the opportunity to undertake the following:

  • Radiology support for symptomatic one-stop clinics
  • Breast screening assessment clinics
  • Wire and non-wire localisation
  • Image guided core and vacuum biopsy and vacuum assisted excision
  • Radiology input into the Breast MDT
  • Breast MRI reporting

You will be supported by the radiology manager, radiographers and clinical and clerical support staff and will report to the Clinical Director of the care group.

Newly opened in 2003, Noble’s Hospital is the Island’s only District General Hospital, situated on the outskirts of Douglas, the capital of the Isle of Man. It is equipped to the very latest standards with a total complement of 317 beds; the site also houses a combined education and training centre equipped with a comprehensive library, study rooms, lecture theatre and a state of the art simulation suite. There is also a community hospital, in Ramsey in the north of the Island, which houses our elderly rehabilitation and intermediate care unit, as well as a Minor Injuries Unit, Renal Dialysis Satellite Unit, Wound Management Clinic and the island’s Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Centre.

A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.
