We are pleased to announce that the Department of Radiology at Stanford University is recruiting a dual board (ABR and ABNM) certified or eligible physician to assist with expanding Nuclear Medicine practice at a community hospital located in the East Bay.  The position is part of a growing clinical practice and candidates will have the opportunity to shape and build the practice with the help of Stanford University School of Medicine’s Department of Radiology.   

This position is open rank in the Clinician Educator Line. The major criteria for appointment in the Clinician Educator Line is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care and clinical teaching appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. This position will primarily consist of clinical duties with limited opportunities in teaching. Academic rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. 


The applicant will have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree(s) or equivalent, and have a California Medical license prior to appointment start date. The clinical duties will be to participate in all diagnostic Nuclear Medicine studies, including planar imaging, SPECT, SPECT/CT, PET/CT and PET/MRI. Occasional presentations at tumor boards may be required. In addition, an emphasis will be placed on expanding targeted radionuclide therapies (I-131 NaI, Xofigo, Lutathera) at the East Bay / Pleasanton campus.  In addition to Nuclear Medicine, there will be a component of general radiology with participation in on-call activities. The ideal candidate will be energetic, have excellent interpersonal skills and have an interest in integrating into the referring community.
